Melissa Taylor’s Author School Visit Programs:
VIRTUAL OR IN-PERSON (COLORADO)
All school visits include an interactive read aloud of Tova’s Sweet Solution. After that, she can focus on any of the following:
Problem & Solution Storytelling
Tova’s story focuses on a problem, trial and error, and a solution. All stories have problems and solutions. Let’s use that structure to brainstorm and invent our own stories!
Write What You Know
Melissa will share how she wrote something from her own life and guide writers to do the same!
Kindness & Growth Mindset
Melissa will use her many drafts of Tova’s Sweet Solution to encourage students to understand trying, failing, and trying again…growth mindset, which Tova also exemplifies in the story.
Word Play
Melissa will use Tova’s Sweet Solution to share how writers invent new words, then guide students in a fun storytelling and word play activity.
